Can. of  Phys. and Math. sciences, Assoc.Prof. Jafarova Sevda Ziyad
She was born on February 14, 1967 in Baku.
In 1985 she graduated from secondary school â„– 240 in Baku and entered the Physics faculty of Baku State University.
In 1989 she graduated from Baku State University with a degree in Physics and Physics teacher, and since that time she has studied postgraduate study on Physics of Semiconductors and Dielectrics of ANAS Institute of Physics (full-time).
In 1992, she defended her dissertation on the topic “Exitons in layered crystals activated by ions of rare elements” and received a PhD in Physics and Mathematics. Since that time she has worked as a senior scientific worker at the Institute of Physics.

Since 2002 she has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Physics at Azerbaijan State  University of Economics.
In   December 2006 she has been elected as an Associate Professor.
She is the author and co-author of 39 scientific articles, 1 scientific inventions and 1 patent.
Married, has two children.
