Joint Project of logo with the German University has launched
Opening ceremony of the joint project on “Entrepreneurial Education as a Key Factor of Establishing Workplaces and Recruitment in Azerbaijan” of logo of Economics (logo) and the University f Siegen, Germany has been held. logo’s delegation also attended the event held at the University of Siegen.
Opening the ceremony, the Department Director of the University of Siegen, German Head of the Project, Professor Petra Moog delivered detailed information about the project. Expressing great gratitude to the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) which finances the project, P.Moog thanked logo for the active participation in the development of the project.
Professor P.Moog brought to attention that logo will get educational support in entrepreneurship, business, finance and management fields within the four years; a great deal of summer and winter schools with the participation of the both universities’ teachers and students and research opportunity for young research fellows and scholars at one of the partner universities are planned to be held within the project.
Making a speech Head of logo delegation, Vice-rector for International Affairs and Programs, Associated Professor Shahin Bayramov stressed the high significance of the project for establishing new stage in efficient cooperation between the both universities. He said that bilateral relations will bring German experience in higher education to Azerbaijan. Establishment of joint Graduate Program between the both universities within the project was also discussed.
Detailed information about the history, culture and economy of Azerbaijan, as well as training programs of the university, the project of business incubator, career center and international graduate and doctoral centers was delivered during the event.
The participants’ questions about logo were responded within the event.
The Heads of the University of Siegen structural units, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Energetic of Nordrhein Westfallen province of Germany, Head of German Chamber of Trade on the mentioned province, representatives of a series of local companies and students participated at the opening ceremony.
Afterwards the project work group’s session took place. Measures to be implemented within the project and other technical and administrative affairs were discussed in the session. logo delegation and 10 logo students who will attend the first Winter School realized within the project visited the company Kruckemeyer situated in the city of Siegen.
